As we age, our faces begin to show the effects of gravity, sun exposure, and years of facial muscle movement. As the underlying tissues that keep our skin looking full and youthful begin to break down, the result is predictable: fine lines and deep wrinkles appear in the forehead, near the eyes, around the mouth (nasolabial folds), and on the chin.
To reverse signs of aging and restore a youthful skin appearance, we offer a variety of non-surgical treatment options in Paramus, NJ, including Botox injections using OnabotulinumtoxinA. In the later stages of aging, facial rejuvenation surgery may be the best solution for severe wrinkles. However, in the early stages of aging and for patients with regional signs only, BOTOX® is a safe and effective treatment option. Many Bergen County residents opt for Botox and fillers over plastic surgery to reduce the appearance of large pores and wrinkles.

BOTOX® Cosmetic is a simple, FDA-approved, and non-surgical treatment for glabellar lines and other dynamic wrinkles that takes just minutes to perform in the office with no downtime. Most Botox patients can work immediately afterwards, which makes it the ideal “lunchtime” treatment! BOTOX® Cosmetic treatments in Paramus, NJ, are beneficial for those with moderate to severe facial lines and wrinkles, and are also ideally suited for those who are just starting to see visible signs of facial aging who want to prevent future lines and wrinkles from forming
BOTOX® Cosmetic procedures deliver dramatic wrinkle reduction results and continue to be the #1 aesthetic procedure performed in the United States.

BOTOX® Cosmetic targets lines and wrinkles that occur from repeated facial expressions by temporarily relaxing the facial muscles in areas of the face that are showing signs of aging (ex. forehead lines, crow’s feet lines, marionette lines, and frown lines). It is a neurotoxin (a natural substance) that is made up of botulinum toxin type A. For the last 20+ years, botulinum toxin type A has been known to produce dramatic results, which typically last up to four months. For lasting results, it’s recommended to get Botox treatments routinely. Botox injections target the facial expression points that are known to create permanent deep creases and facial wrinkles. This treatment blocks nerve impulses and takes about an hour. Relaxation of specific muscles leaves you with smoother skin in the treatment areas with diminished lines and wrinkles, without the need for plastic surgery.

What To Expect During Your BOTOX® Treatment
A BOTOX® Cosmetic treatment consists of only a few tiny injections. Our patients can anticipate very minimal to no discomfort during their visit. For added comfort, we can apply a topical numbing cream to the treatment areas before treatment. Cool compresses are gently applied for additional comfort.
While many seek treatment for cosmetic treatments like smoothing forehead muscles and crow’s feet, botulinum toxin products are incredibly versatile. BOTOX® therapy is FDA-approved to treat adult patients for upper and lower limb spasticity, as well as severe primary axillary hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating). It is also used for medical therapy in patients with overactive bladder or urinary incontinence who have not responded to other medications. Whether we are treating facial wrinkles or chronic medical conditions, the goal is to improve your quality of life.

The most common areas we treat with Cosmetic BOTOX® injections are the forehead, frown lines (between the eyebrows), and crow’s feet. It’s known to treat minor imperfections such as smile lines on your face. Although these are the most commonly treated areas, BOTOX® Cosmetic injections are highly effective for a wide range of other areas.
Our complete list of areas we treat with BOTOX® Cosmetic includes:

The primary benefit is a refreshed, youthful look. Unlike dermal fillers or hyaluronic acid, which add volume, botulinum neurotoxins work by temporarily blocking the signals from the nervous system to the muscles. This prevents the "etching" of lines into the skin. Patients treated with BOTOX® often report looking less stressed and more approachable. It is a low-maintenance path to confidence that has been proven across countless clinical trials.
If you are an adult patient looking to soften facial wrinkles, Botox is likely an excellent fit.
We review your medical history to ensure safety, particularly if you have underlying conditions like amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, myasthenia gravis, or reduced lung function. We also ask that you mention if you are taking blood thinners, as this can increase bruising at the injection site. Botox injections are not recommended for pediatric patients or those who are pregnant or producing breast milk.

There is no downtime required after botulinum toxin injections. You might see tiny bumps at the injection site, but these usually vanish within an hour. We suggest you avoid rubbing the area for a few hours to ensure the botulinum toxin type stays exactly where intended. While adverse reactions like flu-like symptoms or a temporary urinary tract infection (in bladder treatments) are rare, our team is always available if you require prompt medical therapy.
Most adult patients who are treated with Botox notice the "quieting" of their muscles within a few days. The final reveal occurs about two weeks after the session.
The smoothing effect typically lasts three to four months. As the muscle activity slowly returns, the lines will begin to reappear, signaling it is time for a further injection to maintain your serene aesthetic.

With two decades of distinction in Bergen County, The Breslow Center offers a level of expertise you won't find at a standard medspa. Dr. Gary Breslow and his team of specialists treat BOTOX® as a high-precision medical procedure. We don't believe in the "frozen" look; we believe in the sophisticated, rested appearance that our patients have trusted us with for twenty years.
The Breslow Center includes treatment and injections for excessive underarm sweating, a condition known as hyperhidrosis. If you’ve been living with embarrassing underarm sweat, BOTOX® Cosmetic may be the right treatment option for you. Results for axillary hyperhidrosis typically last 6 months.
No, cosmetic BOTOX® injections cannot fill in lines or hollow areas, such as sunken cheeks (facial volume loss). Dermal fillers and injectables, such as Juvéderm, are highly effective in restoring facial contours.
Although Botox results are visible, a treatment with BOTOX® Cosmetic will not radically change your facial appearance or make you look as if you “had work done.” The muscle contractions that cause frown lines between the brows are simply reduced, so you can still make facial expressions as you like.
Not when treated by an expert. Our goal is to relax the muscles that cause deep furrows, not to stop your face from moving. You will still be able to smile, frown, and look surprised—you'll just do it without the deep lines.
Yes, this is often called a "liquid lift." While BOTOX® relaxes muscles, dermal fillers like hyaluronic acid restore volume. Together, they offer a comprehensive refresh.
While rare, allergic reactions to botulinum toxin treatment can happen. We monitor all patients treated for signs of sensitivity and provide clear instructions on when to seek prompt medical therapy.
